We of the Leadership Team of Grace Message Church Ministries do pray that these food for thoughts concerning the physical occupations in which the handpicked disciples of Yeshua held are enlightening you concerning your preparation for the usage in the Kingdom of heaven. We also shared with you that some of their trainings and preparations are not recorded before selection; but their steps and behavior are recorded concerning what they do after being numbered among the handpicked as was Mark, the writer of the Gospel according to Mark. After saying that, John Mark is the next disciple, minister and assistant in which we will be looking into. Please do not get Yeshua’ selection of Mark mixed up; For Mark was not an apostle of Yeshua the Christ; Mark was known as being an evangelist; he lacked the authority and endurance in which an apostle is equipped with (as we see in another person named John Mark who assisted Barnabas and Saul). Yes, abilities as in, when Paul was stoned at Lystra, it being a city of Lycaonia, that’s after certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium persuaded the people in Lystra concerning Paul and Barnabas’s preaching, teaching of the gospel and healing of a man that had never walked from his mother’s womb, for this type of work the people stoned Paul, and afterward dragging him out of the city, thinking Paul was dead. The disciples stood around Paul, also thinking negative as the opponents, that he was dead: all glory to Elohiym, Paul arose before the doubtful disciples’ eyes and went right back into the city in which the people just stoned and dragged him out of, leaving him for dead. The next day, Paul and Barnabas left Lystra and went to Derbe; for Lystra and Derbe were cities of Lycaonia. We reiterate, John Mark was trained after he was selected by Barnabas and Paul to assist them one their journey. We must acknowledge, that the writer of the gospel according to Mark, he identified Yeshua as being the perfect Servant of Elohiym, our heavenly Father; while this other John Mark, being of Paul’s companions at the first, he was having (saving his own life issues, which hindered his courage and boldness) making it difficult in him being a perfect servant; as the writer of the gospel according to Mark explained Yeshua to be. For, this John Mark, he abandoned Paul and Barnabas in Pamphylia and left the work, when the work got dangerous and harmful to his own health (and he was only an assistant); as is penned in these words from the Amplified Bible coming out of verses 37-38 of the 15th chapter of the scroll of Acts: Barnabas-being an apostle, he wanted to take [his nephew] John, who was called Mark, along with them. Notwithstanding, Paul-also being an apostle, he kept insisting that they should not take along with them the one (John Mark-him not being the writer of the gospel according to Mark). This John Mark in whom we are speaking of, he had quit and deserted Barnabas and Saul in Pamphylia and had not gone on with them to the work; when he saw with hands on experience; that, ministering the gospel, even being equipped with heavenly given authority and power from the Father; it comes with great resistance from Satan, he being that power of the air. If you’re paying close attention, not just anyone wanted to hear the gospel that was spoken from Barnabas and Paul’s mouths; it was a sorcerer who sent for them, he being also a false prophet, his name being Barjesus (being interpreted; grandson of a Jewish leader, named Joshua). Nevertheless, Barjesus was a magician, which is also known as being a scientist; on top of that, a false prophet concerning religious mysteries, making him an impostor. When Barjesus heard about the Word of Elohiym and the miracle that was done; his heart was stirred and he needed watering from the same Word of Elohiym. Get this, while Barnabas and Saul were on their way for an audience with Barjesus; one of Barjesus’ colleagues (he also being a sorcerer; which is a magician and a scientist) that person’s name being Elymas (which means a wizard and a corrupter). Yes, Elymas, he came strongly against Barnabas and Saul (while John Mark, the nephew of Barnabas) was standing right there watching all of this take place; he, not fully understanding that this type of resistance comes with spreading the anointed gospel concerning Yeshua, Him being the anointed One and ministering about the coming, invading Kingdom of Heaven. John Mark, like most unexercised, unskillful and unlearnt novice people; try to present themselves as a perfect courageous behind the four walls person, when they take notice that the authority and power given unto a mature man of God, is not only for the healing from Satan’s oppositions, those heavenly given authority and power are given by Elohiym also to push an opponent deeper into darkness. Even as is shown in verses 9-11 of the 13th chapter of the scroll of Acts in these words coming out of the Amplified Bible (WHICH IS AFTER THE CROSS ON CALVARY) Saul, who was also known as Paul, being FURNISHED, WHICH IS BEING CLOTHED with the Holy Spirit and led by the Ruach Hako’desh, looked steadily at Elymas—the sorcerer, being a magician, and a scientist; Paul said to him, “hey you [Elymas] who are full of every [kind of] deceit, and every [kind of] fraud, YOU SON OF THE DEVIL, enemy of everything that is right and good, will you never stop perverting the straight paths of the Lord? Now, watch! The hand of the Lord is on you, and YOU WILL BE BLIND, [so blind that you will be] UNABLE TO SEE THE SUN FOR A TIME (which is one of the four seasons of the earth cycles).” Immediately a mist and darkness fell upon him, and he groped around, seeking people to lead him by the hand and that was done to him, by the same authority and power that was given to deliver people with; Selah!!!! Before moving forth, we of the leadership team must say again, exousia-power in given us as a countermeasure, as is recorded in the 19th verse of the 10th chapter of the scroll of Luke in these words coming out of the Amplified Bible: Yeshua said, listen carefully My disciples: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents (which are considered as malicious people) and authority over scorpions (which are the stings coming from those malicious people), and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the dunamis- miraculous deceptive powers of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. After Yeshua informed us of this ability we are given; He continues by warning us not to become cocky, as can be read in the 20th verse of that same 10th chapter of the scroll of Luke coming out of the Amplified Bible in these words: nevertheless, do not rejoice at this exousia power given you, over the spirits (known as demons) they being subject to your given jurisdiction exousia power (which is, them being under obedience) to you (as were the legion of demons to Yeshua, in verses 6-10 of the 5th chapter of the scroll of Mark, in which Yeshua transferred a legion of demons into other vessels instead of just casting them out (yes, the evangelist being the writer of the gospel according to Mark recorded that transaction which did not deliver that region; it was not the nephew of Barnabas who recorded that). Yeshua advised us to rejoice that our names are recorded in heaven.” John Mark, being Barnabas nephew, he was first affiliated with Peter, the apostle of Yeshua; seeing that it was his mother’s house that was praying for Peter’s release from the four wards of soldiers; as is recorded in the words coming out of the 12th verse of the 12th chapter of the scroll of Acts in these words from the Amplified Bible: Peter went to the house of Mary the mother of John, who was also called Mark, where many [believers] were gathered together and were praying continually [and had been praying all night]. For it was Peter who won John Mark over to the faith; as is recorded in the 13th verse of the 5th chapter of the First scroll of Peter in these words coming out of the Amplified Bible: She [the church] who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, and so does my son [in the faith], Mark (in which, the King James Bible calls him Marcus). Which makes a mother feel obligated to help Peter when he was in a time of trouble, because he helped her son. Now, John Mark, upon his departure from Barnabas and Saul, which came right after a fruitful time in Cyprus, as can be seen in verses 4-12 of the 13th chapter of the scroll of Acts: so then, Barnabas and Saul being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there THEY SAILED TO CYPRUS-AT THE HAND OF JOHN MARK AT THE OARS. When Barnabas and Saul arrived at Salamis, they began to preach the word of God [proclaiming the message of eternal salvation through faith in Christ] in the synagogues of the Jews; and BARNABAS AND SAUL ALSO HAD JOHN MARK AS THEIR ASSISTANT (HE BEING their minister, their servant, an under-oarsman—which is a person who drives the boat, doing the rolling) IN WHICH many people do not want this job; for their training. They immediately desire to go to the front line and they are not able or conditioned for the front line as of yet. When Barnabas, Saul and John Mark had traveled through the entire island [of Cyprus] as far as Paphos (being successful), they then found a sorcerer, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus, who was [closely associated] with the proconsul [of the province], Sergius Paulus, an intelligent and sensible man. He called for Barnabas and Saul and wanted to hear the word of God [concerning eternal salvation through faith in Christ]. But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is how his name is translated) opposed Barnabas, Saul and John Mark, trying to turn the proconsul away from accepting the faith. But Saul, who was also known as Paul, FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST AND LED BY THE HOLY GHOST, looked steadily at Elymas, and said, “[You [Elymas] who are full of every [kind of] deceit, and every [kind of] fraud, you son of the devil, enemy of everything that is right and good, will you never stop perverting the straight paths of the Lord? Now, watch! The hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, [so blind that you will be] unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately a mist and darkness fell upon him, and he groped around, seeking people to lead him by the hand. The proconsul believed [the message of salvation] when he saw what had happened, being astonished at the teaching concerning the Lord. But, John Mark said within himself, but his behavior was seen without; exit stage left, Selah!!! When Paul rejected John Mark from travelling with them the second time, it was for John Mark’s own benefit, because it was too soon for him: but as time went by and he became more seasoned he was ready, as can be read in the 11th verse of the 4th chapter of the Second scroll of Timothy coming out of the Amplified Bible in these words: Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is very helpful to me for the ministry—as an assistant again. After allowing John Mark to be buffed awhile; he became profitable to Paul’s ministry; learning how to suffer persecution while understanding it all; as is pointed out in these words coming out of the 10th verse of the 4th chapter of the scroll of Colossians: Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, wishes to be remembered to you; as does Mark, the Nephew of Barnabas (about whom you received instructions; if John Mark comes to you, welcome him). The King James Bible in that same 10th verse of the 4th chapter of the scroll of Colossians; identifies John Mark as Marcus (why; he was now polite and shining). Here is where we will be pausing for the moment, for enough has been said to inform you; keep in mind, the writer of the gospel according to Mark, and John Mark, they are not the same person. We will speak with you at a later date, until then, sayonara!!!!!
