Anyone ever was on a fast?

When most congregations and leaders of those congregations speak concerning fasting; their understanding of fasting has really missed the mark. When most folks think of fasting, they thing of fasting in the most selfish way as possible; it’s in what they are able to receive from God; but, when we fast, we are supposed to be fasting for the deliverance of someone else. For the Word of God in the 58th chapter of the scroll of Isaiah reveals that some of God’s people fast is kind of misconstrued (which means misinterpret and misunderstood)! So, what we of the Leadership Team of Grace Message Church Ministries have done is this; we felt to share unto all in whom God would draw unto this here food for thought, what God’s Word is calling forth in His people, that’s unto a true fast unto the LORD God. God’s orders are from the New International Version, beginning with the 1st verse, is to “Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet (which makes a clear sound, coming from a curved instrument, even as the woman of a church is made with the curved substance of her husband). The LORD God commands; declare to My people their (religious) rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their (habitual) sins. For day after day (My people-the church) they (inquire-seek) Me out; they seem eager (as if they have pleasure) to know (to acknowledge, or to be acquainted with) My ways (yes My eastward journey in which they ought to tread; they think they are acquainted with every way I speak in conversation; My manner ‘which are My forms and method, they even feel as if they are fully acquainted with My customs ‘which are My practices’), as if they were a nation that does what is right in morals and has not forsaken the commands (in the which the 15th verse of the 14th chapter of the scroll of John clearly advises us in these words from the mouth of the Lamb of God who is the Son of God: if you love Me morally and socially, keep My commandments) which is of your God (who is our Creator and Elohiym). They ‘being the church’ ask Me for (customary) just decisions and seem eager for God to come near them. They ask, ‘Why have we fasted then (and their only understanding of the fast is: the covering over their mouth from food),’ they say, ‘and You (LORD) have not seen (us covering our mouths from food for our bellies)? Why have we humbled (which is to afflict) ourselves (yes, afflict our very breath in which You breathed into our nostrils which causes us to live), and you have not noticed (but you noticed when the woman and Adam did not refrain from eating in the garden and You, LORD God, even made a big deal about what they did, but not ours)?’ God said; “yet on the day of fasting, My people (the church), THEY DO AS THEY PLEASE (yes, as they desire) for you exploit (which is to harass as a tyrant) all your workers (which are your hired help, who work for you). Your fasting ends in (debate, which is) quarreling and ends in strife (which is controversy), and in striking each other with wicked fists (because of how you mistreat them on the day of your fasting). You (My people) cannot fast as you do today and expect your voice to be heard on high. Is this the kind of fast I (the LORD God) have chosen (or appointed for My people-the church), only a day for people to humble themselves (as is mentioned in verses 1-2 of the 6th chapter of the scroll of Matthew: but you sound the trumpet when you help anyone, which makes your deeds hypocritical. Even the 16th verse of this same 6th chapter of the scroll of Matthew reveals: moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward)? Please wait for a moment, and your question will be answer, of why we mentioned the giving of alms ‘in verses 1-2 of the same 6th chapter of the scroll of Matthew’, concerning fasting! The LORD God continues to ask: is My appointed fast only for bowing one’s head like a reed (which is having the look of self-affliction) or is My fast for lying in sackcloth and ashes? The LORD God asked His people, is that what you call a fast, a day acceptable (or appointed) to the Lord? “Is not this the kind of fasting (or covering your mouth I require, which is pointed out in verse 3-6 of the 6th chapter of the scroll of Matthew: but when thou doest alms (which is a form of fasting), let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms (fasting) may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret Himself shall reward thee openly. And when thou (people of God) prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward (and their prayers while fasting will not be heard). But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, PRAY TO THY FATHER (and not to Jesus, as Jesus is speaking in these verses) and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Also, when ye pray (PRAY TO THY FATHER and not to Jesus, as Jesus is speaking in these verses), in doing so, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Do not overlook this important part of fasting also, which comes out of the 12th verse of the same 6th chapter of the scroll of Matthew in these words from the Amplified Version: and forgive us our debts-which are faults, as we also have forgiven (left, remitted and let go of the debts-faults of others and have given up resentment against) our debtors-which are transgressors. Back in the 6th verse of the 58th chapter of the scroll of Isaiah the LORD God said, here’s MY fast, I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords (of wicked) yokes (of usury; and to set the oppressed free and break every yoke (of debt)? Is not (My appointed fast) is, TO SHARE YOUR FOOD WITH THE HUNGRY AND PROVIDE THE POOR WANDERER WITH SHELTER—WHEN YOU SEE THE NAKED, TO CLOTHE THEM, AND NOT TO TURN AWAY FROM YOUR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD? This is My appointed fast and if the church would do this with a forgiven pure heart, then their light will break forth like the dawn—for the church is the light of the world (what the world is seeing from the is total darkness against each other-as puts the 10th verse of the 24th chapter of the scroll of Matthew: and then shall many in the household of God be offended and shall betray one another and shall hate one another). But, if you shall have genuine love one for the other, then the world shall know that ye are My disciples and if you continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples. The LORD reveals in the 8th verse of the 58th chapter of the scroll of Isaiah and your healing (or wholeness) will QUICKLY appear; then your righteousness[a] will go before you, and the glory (splendor) of the LORD will be your rear guard (even as when the pillar of fire moved from before the camp of the children of Israel as is seen in verses 19-20 of the 14th chapter of the scroll of Exodus, and stood between the camps of the Egyptians and the Israelite, that the Egyptians could not come nigh Israel, all night long. The LORD God, He even looking through the pillar of fire and the Egyptians tried to overtake Israel in the Red Sea, and God defending Israel, by removing the Egyptians wheels from the chariots, Selah!!!! Isaiah said, the Lord Said, then shall His people call (to Me), and then I the LORD God will answer; you will cry for help, and the LORD will say: Here am I. That’s “If you do away with the yoke of oppression, which is dispensed with the pointing finger (which is practicing unfairness and BLAMING VICTIMS) and malicious talk (which is gossiping about other people’s sins), and if you spend yourselves (or be generous) on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise (even in) the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always (continually); He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land (as He did with Isaac in a time of famine in Genesis 26:1-22) and God will strengthen your frame (your frame being your bones). You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairers of Broken Walls (which are breaches), Restorers of Streets with are Dwellings (being livable again). “If you keep your feet FROM BREAKING THE SABBATH AND FROM DOING AS YOU PLEASE ON THE LORD God’s HOLY DAY (which is the Sabbath), and if you call the Sabbath a delight (BY REFUSING BUSINESS AS USUAL AND MAKING MONEY, EVEN STOP FROM RUNNING HERE AND THERE ON My Sabbath day) and keep the Lord’s holy day honorable and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, THEN YOU WILL FIND YOUR JOY IN THE LORD, AND THE LORD will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. THIS IS THE TRUE FAST OF THE LORD, and the people of today, they have not been keeping it’ because God asked also concerning His Sabbath day???? Now you can’t say you don’t know, which makes you now accountable unto God to think differently. With these truths pointed out, we must reveal unto you, that Yhowshua gave instructions when He walked this earth, in how we are able to keep this fast and we have overlooked it. That’s where we will begin in our next food for thought. Here is where we will be pausing for the moment, for enough has been said to make you go hmm!!!
