As the saga continues out of verses 3-7 of the 7th chapter of the book of Judges; we see that a decline in company/fellowship, which is a specific part in the ministry’s mission in understanding warfare has taken a significant decline under the leadership of Gideon. This type of significant, rapid decline must have raddled the mind cages of those who remained. Even as it does with most called out people of today, being the 2018th year, who are caught up in numbers, Selah!!! Those raddled minds of God’s people, they may have classified Gideon’s leadership skills as in heading in the wrong direction from the start. On the other side of this exact same picture, which was taking place only among God’s warriors first; yet in the mind of the God elected leader of these warriors; his name even mean’s warrior. That information is available under the Hebrew number 1439 and under the Hebrew number 1438 which reveals Gideon’s name as: to destroy anything under God’s given command: these definitions are from the Strong’s Concordance of the Bible: but the Bible hides all these descriptions of Gideon’s abilities, under his earthly title we know as his name; Gideon. So, Gideon may have been thinking within himself; atleast we still have ten thousand and one men; and I am the one man in this calculated number, Selah!!!! Just imagine for a moment, what was taking place in the minds of the men who remained for a short period of time under Gideon’s seemed to be dysfunctional leadership; there must have been mixed feelings bouncing off of the dome of their craniums!!!! One thing they may have been thinking is this, we all should have said we were afraid and went home with the people we know and trust, better than we trust this fella here; for it seemed as this fella is killing us before we even make it to the battlefield. What saints fail to realize is this, even a babe cannot come into a new never been in before realm, unless that babe gets himself into position, Selah!!!! If that babe is unable to get into position, the midwives force their hands into the matrix of the womb of that conceived travailing woman, to adjust the babe into the correct position. If these efforts fail; the last hope for the surviving of the babe is called a C-section which saves the babe; but scars the mother of a church for life. All three of these processes were taking place in the midst of Gideon’s band of called out leader’s. Which adjusted the mindset of others in the now smaller company to ponder negativity; and the negativity which has now paralyzed many more of them; in just a contemplating thought as in; did Gideon do the right thing by getting rid of so many people?? I mean; out of twenty and two thousand; they all could not have been wrong, and one man Gideon be right. For Gideon could have kept them around, they at least could have brought us water and remain by our baggage, the bible calls our stuff; as was done in the 13th verse of the 25th chapter of the First Book of Samuel when two hundred of David’s men coward down at the last moment and remained by the stuff: as is mentioned in these words: and they girded on every man his sword “as if all six hundred were about to fight, even if it cost them their lives” and David “their leadership in whom they were mad with” he also girded on his sword: and there went up after David “only” about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff “and that wasn’t by the orders of God, nor of David; but David allowed it, because they would have been a hinderance. These two hundred men who coward down at the last moment of just crossing a river and the battle would have been in full force; being counted as a part of David’s six hundred mighty men of war, there. These same two hundred, a little while back; they were counted among those who were about to stone David to death, because the freedom of their family members was taken away from them by their enemy. For they felt, it was David’s orders of leaving the wives and children in Ziklag unguarded. The meaning of the word Ziklag from the Hitchcock’s Bible names dictionary, it’s meaning is: measure pressed down; and that was the pressing which broke the backs of David’s men!!! But, when David under the orders of God, said unto the six hundred warriors, God said go get back every man’s freedom for his own family member. We reiterate, two hundred coward down, because of the enemy’s large numbers; which was a picture in which Gideon was facing. Those same steps are happening among God’s people of today, being the 2018th year; for the church clearly overlooks that God deals in the remnant; even as is pointed out, that the dragon; that old serpent called the devil and Satan; he even know that God’s church will have a faithful remnant; as is shown in these words from the 17th verse of the 12th chapter of the book of Revelation: and the dragon was wroth with the woman “of a church” and the dragon went to make war with the remnant of her seed, WHICH KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF Yhowshua the Messiah. For even verses 4-5 of the 11th chapter of the book of Romans who was written by Paul the apostle of Yhowshua; he said: but what said the answer of God unto Elijah, in the 18th verse of the 19th chapter of the First book of Kings? I, the LORD God have reserved “which is have remaining” to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then “in the time of Elijah” and at this present time also “in Paul’s days and in the 2018th year” there is a REMNANT “which is a destitute group” according to the election “or selection of God’s” pleasure, the Bible calls grace. This helps us to understand when the 14th verse of the 7th chapter of the book of Matthew which reads: because narrow is the entrance, and trouble and suffering tribulation is the journey, which takes of death carnally unto life spiritually, and FEW/REMNANT there be that obtain and perceive these things. In turning our attention back to the men left in the congregation of Gideon, there could have been there, some; who were thinking within themselves concerning the remaining number there, I don’t really know these people, as I know my friends and my family members who were sent home earlier by our newly popped up leaders. I wonder if I can really trust these people in battle; but my main concern is, could I really trust Gideon’s directions? That’s when Gideon comes forth and raddles their brains even the more; because the people are imagining that they are ready for battle now, when in fact they are not able to handle the battles within the camp. This new raddling; it’s disguised in a way as them just drinking water before going down and beginning all types of kicking, screaming, biting and gorging out of eyes; in which they call warring; for some may have thought, we have no swords; which is a symbolic picture of them not having the Sword of the Word of God, Selah!!! Here’s the reason why they had no swords, the sword is called the Sword of the LORD and of Gideon, that’s according to verses 14, 18 and 20 of the same 7th chapter of the book of Judges. What really belonged to the three hundred men, were their empty pitchers and their lamps in which they must place within their empty pitchers. So, Gideon’s three hundred men may have been thinking, at least Moses told his priesthood to gird on their swords, what are we going to fight with; bad language, even as Peter tried to do in the 74th verse of the 26th chapter of the book of Matthew in these words: then began Peter to CURSE AND SWEAR, saying, I know not Yhowshua. This CURSING AND SWEARING was describing the next leader’s weapons of warfare he used, and keep in mind, Peter was known as the rock; understanding that even Yhowshua made Peter put away his sword in the 11th verse of the 18th chapter of the book of John. Now we see God instructing Gideon to bring the ten thousand men, before the declining in numbers continue, the assigned leadership was to bring them down to the water. Did you notice that verses 4-5 of the 7th chapter of the book of Judges reveals; that God said: YOU GIDEON, BRING THE MEN DOWN, not take them down, nor tell them to go down; because part of the test was, can you continue in battle when it seems like your leadership has gotten you into a no-win situation as it seemed at times in verses 10-13 of the 17th chapter of the book of Exodus in these words: so Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. After receiving God’s given commands, someway, somehow, Gideon had to get ten thousand men all at once into a downward feeling; which is a form of having them feel as they were being cast down, or would fall among their enemies. This was the mindset in which Gideon had to inflict upon his own warriors; just to see who would pass this last test. But the men themselves; they had no idea they were being tested. The test was; could downtrodden warriors keep watch and stand their grounds in a moment of despair; because this is the position in which most saints quit? This was the LORD’s way of trying, purging and melting the hearts of these men of war: as is pointed out in the 4th verse of the 7th chapter of the book of Judges by trying them. For the 10th verse of the 2nd chapter of the book of Revelation shows forth this same trying taking place in the church; seeing that the people are warned in these words: fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be TRIED, EXAMINED AND PROVEN; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH. This was the trying in which Gideon’s men were going through at the water source; so the 5th verse of the 7th chapter of the book of Judges reveals; that it was the men very leader who brought them down; when the men might have thought, what is he doing, he’s supposed to bring us up, but what he just did, it’s weighing heavy on our hearts??? But the testing of bringing down, is the position in which a leader could really tell who’s on the LORD’s side!!! God said only to Gideon, right in the presence of the ten thousand men, as it was a whisper: every one that licks of the water with his tongue, as a dog licks, him shalt thou set by himself “as being consecrated for My use.” But those who get down on bended knees to drink, they have given up in the fight; when in fact, the battle hasn’t yet begun, Selah!!! In other words, they are feeling the pressure of defeat; seeing now they are numbering the people, even as when David numbered the people in the 1st verse of the 18th chapter of the book of Second Samuel, instead of depending upon God. Then there’s the spies who numbered the people in verses 3-4 of the 7th chapter of the book of Joshua, and the people were smitten before their enemies. If you have been paying attention, David couldn’t number the people to win the Battle; but Joshua was allowed to number his people, as is seen in verses 1-3 of the 8th chapter of the book of Joshua; so, stop thinking that God does things only one way. What God will not allow you to do, He may allow another person to do it. Those men of Gideon’s who bowed down on bended knees, they were just as those who were afraid, which went home at first; being a picture of dogs with their tails between their legs. But those who licked water like dogs with their tails in attack mode, and they were growling with a sound of hostility in their throats; those were God proven. I can just hear my brethren David Sutherland and Tommy Donaldson thinking within themselves; how does Jerry know this much about animals, seeing that he doesn’t like dogs that much???? Here’s where we will pause for the moment, for enough has been said to make you go hmm!!! We will speak with you at a later date, that’s if it’s the Lord’s will; until then, sayonara!!!!!
