It really seems as if it has been a long time since we have spoken last, so without any further delay, as we of the leadership team of Grace Message Church Ministries come into your hearts with today’s food for thought, we ask that you would turn you Bibles back unto the 18th chapter of the First book of Samuel. In our last mind-boggling food for thought, it was pointed out, that there was finally a woman or daughter of Saul’s who was giving David google eyes, and her name was Michal. These google eyes of Michal’s they could not be hid from everyone and someone saw what was transpiring, and ran and told Saul. When Saul heard the news, he was happier than she was; what? But Saul’s happiness for what his daughter was feeling towards David was not genuine, it was diabolical; and Saul’s plans were to use his own daughter to set David up for a down fall. So be very careful, everyone who claims to be happy because someone close to them loves you, that person’s happiness is not genuine, it’s disguised jealousy and hatred; this we will see in a moment with Saul. Saul quickly moved his scheme into action by sending a false message by his servants; and the false message was: the king has delight in thee, David. David should have said, I can’t tell; for where were you when I was ducking the javelins? That does not seem like love to me. Where were you when I was reneged upon with the same eldest daughter, and this reneging was done unto me by whom you now say takes delight in me. Out of these facts which was just pointed out, David may have said to himself, what the heck, I’m going in anyway, that’s with mine eyes wide open; knowing truly that Saul cares nothing for me. And these servants of his, they not knowing that I have more information than they do; seeing that they were not there when I was anointed as God’s selection as Israel’s first true king; but Saul sees me as his replacement, and I can never be Saul’s replacement, because Saul could never accomplish what God has hidden in me; Selah people!!!!! Let’s take a deeper look in Saul’s disgraceful scheme. That’s when Saul asked David for a dowry; a dowry is a price for a wife; yes, something in which a man gives the woman he loves father for her hand in marriage. This dowry gift was before the law, in fact, it’s first seen in the 12th verse of the 34th chapter of the book of Genesis, when Shechem was asking the hand of Dinah in matrimony. Under the Jewish laws, as is seen in verses 16-17 of the 22nd chapter of the book of Exodus: it reads: And if a man persuades a maid that is not betrothed “which is not engaged for matrimony” and he connect sexual with her, he shall surely wed her to be his wife. If her father utterly denies the request to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. Here’s is the dowry in verses 28-29 of the 22nd chapter of the book of Deuteronomy: If a man find a young woman that is a virgin, which is not engaged for matrimony called seize her “as Tamar was done by her brother Amnon in the 13th chapter of the Second book of Samuel” and sexual connect with her, and they be found; then the man that ravished with her SHALL GIVE UNTO THE DAMSEL’S FATHER, FIFTY SHEKELS OF SILVER, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. Notwithstanding, Jacob’s sons Levi and Simeon, they asked for their sister Dinah’s dowry, that the men of that village be circumcised. This circumcision is the same thing in which king Saul was about to ask David for as a dowry for his daughter’s hand in marriage; as is seen in the 25th verse of the 18th chapter of the First book of Samuel. If you would, just for a little moment, allow us of the leadership team of Grace Message Church Ministries to reveal the hidden mystery behind Saul’s dowry request upon David. Saul’s dowry request from David, it wasn’t just a hoping and praying that David would be killed by the Philistines. Saul was out to disgrace David. Hear the words of Saul coming from his deceptive servants unto David: and the servants of Saul told him, saying, on this manner spoke David. And Saul said, thus shall ye say to David, the king desires not any dowry, BUT AN HUNDRED FORESKINS OF THE PHILISTINES, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines. Saul remembered the words in which David spoke concerning Goliath, when David called Goliath an uncircumcised Philistine from the 36th verse of the 17th chapter of the First book of Samuel in these words: thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and THIS UNCIRCUMCISED PHILISTINE shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. Saul did not want to make it easy for David, so he upped the ante, making it a hundred Philistines he would have to kill; and while his men of war where there; place his hands on dead uncircumcised men penises, and circumcising them at a point in those men lives, when it’s to late and the cause was irrelevant. Understanding that the men were dead and they died in their sins; but the hidden mystery is this; the Old Testament saints died in their sins, understanding that the blood of bulls and goats could not take away sin. So, their true circumcision came about after their death; the 40th verse of the 11th chapter of the book of Hebrews puts it this way: those dead Old Testament saints who all died in good faith: that they without us should not be made perfect. The 26th verse of the 18th chapter of the First book of Samuel said: And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son in law: and the days were not expired. David circumcised; if you would allow your imagination to run free from a standpoint of redeeming, we understanding David being a symbolic picture of Yhowshua; but Levi and Simeon convinced the men of Shechem to be circumcised first while they were alive and then turned around and killed them instead of redeeming them. Here is where we will pause for the moment for enough has been said to make you go, hmm. We will speak with you at a later date, that’s if it’s the Lords will, sayonara!!!
