This is the day, in which YHWH our Elohiym has made, we shall be glad and rejoice in it!!! In saying that, as we of the leadership team of Grace Message Church Ministries come unto you, we come not in our own authority, we come not in our own character, we come not in our own honor; we come in the authority, the character and honor of Yhowshua, the Son of the true living el. As we continue in the lesson and the topic of the lesson being: The Truth and nothing but the truth. We first give thanks unto YHWH in the name of Yhowshua, for allowing us and every studier of these epistles to come unto Him on this 5th Thanksgiving Day in this same week; Selah!!! For we give thanks unto Elohiym every day!!!! If you would now turn your Bibles back unto the First book of Samuel the 17th chapter and the 41st verse; it reads: and the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him. When we heard of the story of David in battle with Goliath in time pass, we always overlook that Goliath’s armourbearer was in the arena with him; and both of these men were giants and the armourbearer was just as equipped and the warrior in whom he served; just as Jonathan’s armourbearer was with him, as can be seen in verses 6-13 of the 14th chapter of the first book of Samuel in these words: and Jonathan said to the young man that bare HIS ARMOUR, Come, and LET US GO over unto the military post of these un-covenant Philistines: it may be that the LORD will work FOR US: for there is no hinderance to the LORD to save by many or by few. And Jonathan’s ARMOURBEARER said unto him, do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I AM WITH THEE ACCORDING TO THY HEART. Then said Jonathan, Behold, WE WILL pass over unto these men, and WE WILL uncover ourselves unto them. If they say thus UNTO US, Tarry until we come to you; then WE WILL stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them. But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then WE WILL GO UP: for the LORD hath delivered them into OUR hand: and this shall be a sign UNTO US. And BOTH OF THEM UNCOVERED THEMSELVES unto the military post of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves. And the Philistines of the military post ANSWERED JONATHAN AND HIS ARMOURBEARER, and said, come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said unto HIS ARMOURBEARER, come up after me: for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of Israel. And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet “which put Jonathan and his armourbearer in a vulnerable position in trusting the Lord; for all the men of the military post of the Philistines had to do was to drop rocks off the top of the cliffs on Jonathan and his armourbearer. But they trusted the sign in which God gave them” so Jonathan AND HIS ARMOURBEARER after him, their hands and their feet being occupied in the climb and in the trusting of God but when they arrived at the top the Philistine military post fell before Jonathan; and HIS ARMOURBEARER slew after him. And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and HIS ARMOURBEARER made, was about twenty men, within as it were a half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow. And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so, it was a very great trembling. This mighty work in which Jonathan and his armourbearer accomplished through a mighty move of God in their lives, even as it was when Yhowshua sent the disciples out two by two; one was there to pick up the rear, BKA watch the other’s back; that’s slaying what the first one knocked down; but they both were mighty men of war. This armourbearer of Goliath, he had the same responsibility as Jonathan’s armourbearer did; yet David went down into the arena physically alone; but spiritually his armourbearer went down with him, Selah!!! Just because you’re able to see the opponents armourbearer, it doesn’t mean that you’re alone; for God said, I will, never leave you, nor forsake you, the LORD also said in the 8th verse of the 58th chapter of the book of Isaiah: the splendor of the LORD shall be thy rereward. So, we see David was more equipped for the battle, than that Philistine, regardless of the Philistine’s many years of training from a youth. David’s few years of training was, how to trust his God!!!! This type of training is what we of today are undergoing; though we quote, the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s; and if we truly believe that, why do saints tremble at times in facing calamity??? Now here’s the secret behind this whole battle; Goliath was just a tool in which the God of Israel was using to introduce the man after His own heart unto Israel. I heard some of them also; someone said; why wouldn’t God just say; hey everybody, David will be taking Saul’s place as king??? That’s too simple; when the LORD God makes an entrance, He makes a grand entrance, and what a better way than a lad, defeating a giant who’s a champion, and this champion has the whole army of Israel terrified; even the mighty man Jonathan and Jonathan’s armourbearer, for Jonathan and His armourbearer did mighty works before David came to the forefront. We reiterate, this introduction of David, in which God chose, it had to even mesmerize the mighty Jonathan; and it did, as can be read in the 1st verse of the 18th chapter of the First book of Samuel in these words: and it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking unto “the past dominion” named Saul, that the appetite of Jehovah given, BKA the soul of Jonathan was joined together with the appetite of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. Could you just see Saul, Jonathan’s father watching as the bonding between David and his son was taking place; seeing that Saul in time past was even jealous of the victories in which were worked through Jonathan and Jonathan’s armourbearer; when the victory God worked through them caused the host in the fields of the military posts of the Philistines to tremble, which cause the earth its self to quake; as is stated in the 15th verse of the 14th chapter of the First book of Samuel; before David came on the scene. That’s when Saul took notice of something was going on and he wasn’t a part of it, and by not being a part of it, someone else would get the glory. So, Saul had the people numbered, as can be read in the 17th verse of the 14th chapter of the First book of Samuel; and he was informed that his very own son Jonathan and Jonathan’s armorbearer were not counted in the number of that moment fearful act of Israel. In God using Jonathan and not Saul, Saul comes on the scene and disrupts the whole move of God in a way as giving a command not to eat anything until he had gotten the victory. What Saul still did not realize, the battle was not his, nor was God using him; that’s when Jonathan not hearing his father’s ridiculous decree, Jonathan being famished from the battle, he took of the honeycomb of God’s provision in that time of battle, and his eyes or vision of seeing how to win the battle were enlightened. That’s when one in the battle with Jonathan said to him, thy father had strictly charged the people, against what you just did. Jonathan’s response was, my father hath troubled the land of Israel; because mine eyes were enlightened when I ate a little honey; how much more if the whole army of Israel did the same?? Out of jealousy of Jonathan and his armourbearer’s victory, Saul was going to have his son killed; but God turned Saul’s own army against him and they stood on the side of Jonathan and his armourbearer, seeing what God had worked through them. Out of all was said about Jonathan, David needed a mightier introduction, and it’s called, the defeat of Goliath!!!! Here is were we will pick up in our next food for thought, for enough has been said to make you go hmm!!! Remember this; we love you, sayonara!!!!
